Die Komödie mit Bud Spencer von 1980 hat eine herausragende Szene, die man heute sicherlich nicht mehr so drehen würde. Bodo, der Adoptivsohn von Kommissar Rizzo will mit auf ein Flugzeug. Dazu geht er zu einer dunkelhäutigen, größeren Familie, überredet einen Jungen, lenkt ihn ab und nimmt seinen Platz an. Der unschuldige Junge bleibt also am Flughafen zurück, während seine gesamte Familie nach Afrika fliegt.
Top 2: Positiv: Der Hexer: Zeit des Sturms von Andrzej Sapkowski von 2013
Der Einzelroman wurde erst im Nachhinein geschrieben und siedelt sich irgendwo zwischen den anderen Kurzgeschichten an. Daher hatte der Autor leider kaum Möglichkeiten, irgendetwas Wichtiges über die Welt oder die Beziehungen zwischen dem Hexer und anderen Charakteren zu beschreiben. Rittersporn ist zwar an seiner Seite, alle anderen wichtigen Figuren kommen jedoch nicht vor oder werden nur am Rand erwähnt.
Man erkennt deutlich, wie sich die Schreibhandwerkskunst von Herrn Sapkowski entwickelt hat. Die Kapitel beginnen mit interessanten Zitaten bis hin zu Anton Szandor Lavey und der Satanischen Bibel. Der Autor spielt viel mit Ausdrücken und glänzt, sobald er etwas beschreibt. Der Fokus des Buches liegt auf den Dialogen, Action steht hinten an.
Top 1: The Libertine (2004 mit Johnny Depp und John Malkovich)
Der adelige Freigeist und Schriftsteller John Wilmot trinkt und hurt sich durch die Londoner Bordelle des 17. Jahrhunderts, bis er eine junge Schauspielerin entdeckt, in die er sich verliebt. Sie sieht jedoch jeden wankelmütigen Charakter in ihm und hält ihn auf Distanz. Schließlich bekommt sie sogar ein Kind von ihm, kann sich jedoch von ihm lösen.
König Charles II möchte, dass Johnny ihm bei seinen Problemen hilft und Gutes für ihn tut. Nach einigen rebellischen Akten wendet sich zumindest diese Storyline scheinbar zum Guten. Wäre da nicht der Wehrmutstropfen, dass Johnny die Monarchie am Leben hält, die das gemeine Volk unterdrückt.
Der gesamte Film ist mit einem Filter überdeckt, der wohl kaum den Geschmack der Allgemeinheit treffen dürfte und abgesehen von einem Gespräch, wo geschickt mit der Unschärfe gespielt wird, sind die Kamerafahrten mehr verwirrend, als der Stimmung dienlich.
Das größte Problem des Films ist jedoch, dass zahlreiche Szenen absolut redundant sind, während andere wichtige Teile fehlen. Oft kommen Schnitte, wo Wochen und Monate zwischen den Szenen liegen, während sich weder der Auftrag des Königs an Elizabeth, noch deren Kind irgendwie auf den Plot auswirken.
